Minor Vegetation Management Permit Request

A Minor Vegetation (MV) permit is required for all pruning, trimming, or removal of shrubs and/or hazard trees within the KPB 50-foot Habitat Protection District, including dead or diseased trees. These over-the-counter tree removal permits are completely free, and can be completed online, via email, or in person.

This application can only be used to permit the removal of trees and/or shrubs within 50 feet of ordinary high water (OHW) or mean high water (MHW) of a fish bearing waterbody.

Will motorized equipment (except chainsaws) be used at or below OHW or MHW?

Will removed trees be cabled or anchored to the riverbank?

KPB does not allow dead or diseased trees to be used in any bank stabilization projects. Only live spruce may be allowed, and must be permitted through a Multi-Agency Application. If you are not using these trees for revetment, select “NO” to continue with the application.
