The Kenai Peninsula Borough provides the major funding for the Peninsula's public schools. KPBSD serves 44 sites in 21 diverse communities, and the district's total student population is 11% Alaska Native. The district covers 25,600 square miles, which is larger than the entire state of West Virginia.
Kenai Borough Employees Association (KBEA) is looking to award two $750.00 scholarships for high school seniors. The application deadline is March 31, 2024. KBEA is the union of over 200 Borough employees and these scholarships are funded through their union dues.
