By Car or RV

Driving is one of the most popular ways to reach the Kenai Peninsula. From Anchorage, it’s about 2.5 to 3 hours to reach the northern towns like Soldotna or Seward. The Seward Highway, a National Scenic Byway, offers breathtaking views of Turnagain Arm, mountain peaks, and wildlife. RV travelers will find plenty of campgrounds and roadside stops to enjoy along the way.

 
By Plane

Quick and convenient, regional flights connect Anchorage to several Kenai Peninsula towns, including Kenai, Homer, and Seward. Flights are usually under an hour and offer incredible aerial views of glaciers, volcanoes, and forested valleys. This is a great option for travelers short on time or looking to skip the drive.

Coastal towns like Seward and Homer are accessible by ferry or cruise ship, especially in the summer months. The Alaska Marine Highway System offers limited ferry service to Homer from other parts of coastal Alaska. Cruise ships also stop in Seward, making it a popular entry point for travelers continuing their Alaskan adventure on land.
