Sales Tax

The Sales Tax Division accepts and processes sales tax registration applications, sales tax returns and payments, and issues sales tax certificates. The division is also responsible for the administration of the Borough's resale, exempt and owner builders certificates programs.

How to pay your Sales Tax

Sales tax returns and payments can be filed and made in the following ways: 

  1. Sales Tax can be filed and paid online, visit site https://salestax.kpb.us/ to register new accounts, or contact the Sales Tax Dept. for the PIN# to connect existing accounts. Transactions are due by 5:00 p.m.; any transactions submitted after 5:00 p.m., will be effective the next working day. 
  2. Sales tax returns and payments can be mailed to 144 N. Binkley Street, Soldotna, AK 99669; KPB honors post mark of the envelope as the effective date of receipt for the return and payment.
  3. Sales tax returns and payments can also be dropped off in the drop box located to the right of the front door of the George A. Navarre Admin Building at 144 N. Binkley Street, Soldotna Alaska; please do not deposit cash. Payments can be made via check or money order.
  4. Sales tax returns and payments can be made at the Borough Building, office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 p.m.; cash, credit card, or check are accepted payment methods.
