Doing Business With KPB
The Kenai Penininsula Borough provide a diverse array of services to the public, from road construction & maintenance helping Borough neighborhoods thrive, to facility construction in support of the Borough’s Service Area and agency missions. Like any business, these services are done through mix of in-house and contracted efforts, with KPB procuring around 100 million dollars in goods and services yearly.
We work hard to uphold a fair and competitive process, with consideration of support for local businesses, while always looking out for the best interest of the Borough and Kenai Peninsula residents.
KPB’s purchasing guidelines are relatively straightforward, but the need for local government transparency, integrity and local preference means there are a few hoops to jump through.
Vendors must ensure that they are in good standing with their KPB taxes by filling out and submitting the Vendor Tax Compliance form.
