Property Tax

Property Taxes fund roughly half of your borough services. Property Taxes are used to pay for service area costs, fund your local schools, and cover the cost of general government operations.

How To Pay Property Tax

Any portion of a property tax may be paid at any time, however, to avoid late penalty and interest, total payment must be made in full by the due date. Postmarks are honored for on-time payments received through the mail. Once the taxes become delinquent, payment must be received in our office or online by the due date shown on the bill to avoid additional charges. Partial payment of tax will not invalidate any collection process.

As a convenience, online payment is available from this site. You can also pay by phone using our IVR (Interactive Voice Response) System by dialing 1-844-611-4024.

  • eCheck transactions are free.
  • Credit Card transaction fees are 2.35% of the tax amount paid.

Per KPB Code 5.12.070, property tax bills are mailed out to the owners of record by July 1st of each year. If a tax bill hasn’t been received, please contact the KPB Finance Department Property Tax Division prior to the due date to avoid any penalty, interest, or fees.

If your property is financed or owned by multiple parties, please verify if your lender or another party will be paying the tax to reduce overpayments. However, it is the owner’s responsibility to determine who is paying and to ensure payment is made on-time.
