NEWLY FORMED ADVISORY PLANNING COMMISSION
At the Kenai Peninsula Borough (KPB) Assembly's regular meeting on September 20, 2022, the Assembly voted to enact KPB Ordinance 2022-42, establishing a new Advisory Planning Commission (APC) in the Nikiski area . KPB will soon be seeking applications from persons interested in serving as an Advisory Planning Commissioner for the Nikiski APC. Check back for updates.

Purpose of an Advisory Planning Commission:
- Provide residents with an additional avenue to participate in land use planning activities proposed for their community; and
- Provide recommendations to the Kenai Peninsula Borough Planning Commission and, to the Assembly when requested by majority vote of the assembly on land use planning and public land management issues which may affect the existing and/or future character of the community.
