TREE, STUMP & BRUSH DISPOSAL

Please observe the following disposal guidance. If your load does not meet the following standards, you will be turned away.

Logs must be cut less than 8’ in length if over 4” in diameter OR
Less than 4’ in length if over 12” in diameter

Must be clean and free of trash, bags, dirt, building lumber, nails, etc.
NO SMOKING allowed near brush pile.
NO CUTTING PERMITTED on Solid Waste Facility property.

HOMER TRANSFER FACILITY
TEMPORARY C/D CELL CLOSURE

Beginning June 7th, the Homer Transfer Facility will temporarily suspend accepting Construction/Demolition (C/D), waste, brush and metals for disposal.  This temporary closure is necessary to construct a landfill access road.  We ask that you stockpile your C/D waste until the completion of the road or haul your C/D waste to the Central Peninsula Landfill in Soldotna for disposal.  The dates of the closure will be June 7th - June 10th and June 14th - June 17th. Disposal in the Homer C/D landfill is expected to resume on June 18th.  We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience as we move through this critical part of the construction project. 

C/D Materials include:
Appliances (dishwashers)
Building Materials (carpet, drywall, flooring, insulation, lumber, pallets, plaster, plumbing, plywood, roofing, sheetrock, Visqueen, etc.)
Furniture (chairs, couches, mattresses, tables, bed frames, etc.)
Masonry (brick, concrete, rock, stone)
Plastics (empty drums, large kid toys, PVC pipe, etc.)
Rope
(over 10’ must be coiled and bound)
Tires (all sizes, rims ok)

Events are held from 8:00AM - 5:00PM on designated Saturdays througout the year.

Central Peninsula Landfill: January 16, March 13, May 15, June 12, July 17, September 18, November 13
Homer Transfer Facility:    January 9, May 8, July 10, September 11
Seward Transfer Facility:  January 23, May 22, July 24, September 25
