The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) has the primary day-to-day area-wide responsibility for natural and human-caused disaster management, community preparedness and mitigation planning programs and activities. Visitors to our site can view disaster response and mitigation plans, preparedness information, and other important information.  The OEM also coordinates the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) volunteer program.

 

How do you receive your emergency notifications and information?

During an emergency you want to be able to quickly access information such as areas under evacuation. We can help you receive accurate and timely information through our KPB Alerts program.  In order to receive this information on your cell phone you need to complete the registration at  https://alerts.kpb.us/ .  By registering your cell phone on this site you are able to link your number to one or more physical locations so that you can receive emergency information relevant to your area.
