The Kenai Peninsula Borough, Office of Emergency Management is hosting a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Train the Trainer class.  This class gives people the skills and knowledge to instruct all units of the CERT curriculum.  CERT is taught to residents throughout the Kenai Peninsula and empowers people with the skills and knowledge required to take care of themselves and their family in an emergency.  Residents of the Kenai Peninsula who complete CERT training are eligable to volunteer for the Office of Emergency Management.

The Train the Trainer course is about 24 hours long and is being delivered over one week of evenings, as well as a full day Saturday.  The full course schedule is:

Monday September 18, 2017  6pm - 9pm

Tuesday September 19, 2017  6pm - 9pm

Wednesday September 20, 2017  6pm - 9pm

Thursday September 21, 2017  6pm - 9pm

Friday September 22, 2017  6pm - 9pm

Saturday September 23, 2017  9pm - 5pm

 

Participants in this class will be expected to teach or assist with one unit of the CERT class being presented from September 25 - October 7 in Seward.
